Growing up with a single mother, Dominique was raised with lots of rules, but as the saying goes, rules are made to be broken. “I don’t like to hear the word ‘no’,” admits our Miss August. “Playboy was a big step for me, and an even bigger step for my mom! She’s really excited for me though—I told her, ‘Mom, when I die, you gotta bury me in my bunny necklace!’” Dominique’s dedication to her craft is certainly admirable—from performing in Kanye West’s Yeezus tour to her sizzling hot spread for Playboy, she gives everything her absolute best shot. “Maybe my appearance in Playboy reflects a cultural shift,” Dominique told E! in an interview. “We’re all girls next door.
